NEED HELP WITH YOUR COMPUTER OR ELECTRONICS? During the covid-10 pandemic, I have begun to collect, write, and publish self-help articles about how to learn to take care of your computers and associated equipment. You can find it here. Current issue: HP's Printer Firmware Update HP Printer Firmware Downgrade Links Below are links to websites that feature downloadable HP printer firmware versions that precede the HP "updated firmware" versions. I certainly cannot guarantee that the downgrade firmware will work for your printer. However, the worst that can happen is that you can get back to the new HP firmware update (using the printer update firmware button), and obtain new cartridges from CompAndSave. According to one of their customer service agents, their new cartridges are compatible with this firmware update.
CompAndSave - In addition to an excellent firmware
downgrade page, Please note that the CompAndSave printer list is incomplete. Use the download specified for the cartridge series for your printer. Printers affected by HP's "firmware upgrade:"
HP 90x series
HP 95X Series
HP 97x Series
HP 202A/X Printers (Please note: This is not an exhaustive list of all HP printers. I am collecting information and firmware links for others, such as the HP 8600 series.) Donation Request If you find that the information on this site that saved you money, or you would like to contribute to help the cause of providing this kind of service to people, please consider donating. I am retired and on a very limited budget. I had hoped to raise funds for new equipment and maintaining this website by providing personal PC help services (JonsPCFixitShop), but covid-19 has made this impossible, since I am vulnerable at my age Any amount will be gratefully received. I use my JonsPCFixitShop PayPal account for the payment button, and you can then use your PayPal account or a credit card for payment. If you don't have a PayPal account, PayPal will allow you to use any credit card as a guest. PayPal is a completely safe, data secure funds transfer and payment service. Look for the lock symbol next to the PayPal URL (https://www.paypal.com) , which guarantees that your payment is secure and encrypted. Fill in the "Price per item" with the amount you want to donate.
